Handfasting
During the handfasting ceremony, the officiant invites the couple to join hands to signify the couple’s free will to enter marriage. As a series of vows are read, multiple cords are wrapped around their hands. Afterwards, the couple may choose to exchange additional vows right before exchanging rings.
There are several different ways the ritual of handfasting is performed. At Tartan Weddings, we are happy to tailor this tradition to make it unique to the couple.
